WHY WORK WITH A
REGISTERED DIETITIAN?
Registered Dietitians are food and nutrition experts who apply the science of nutrition into practical solutions for health living, using their clinical expertise to help individuals make personal, positive lifestyle changes.
The “RD” credential may only be used by practitioners who are authorized by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association. Individuals with the RD credential are leaders in the field of dietetics who have fulfilled specific requirements, having earned a least a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and food science, completed an accredited, supervised practice program, passed a rigorous national examination and maintain their skills by meeting the profession’s continuing education requirements for re-certification.
While RDs are sometimes referred to as “nutritionists,” not everyone who uses this title is a “registered dietitian.” In many states anyone may designate themselves a “nutritionist,” regardless of education or training.
I Have Been Where You Are...
Its time to lose the weight you’ve been agonizing over—whether its 10 pounds or 100 pounds—forever.
I work with people who have tried it all. Calorie counting, macro tracking, keto, vegan, fasting, medications, supplements… you name it, they have tried it.
You’re probably here because you too, are tired of dieting, “starting over on a Monday”, or are finally ready to feel confident and comfortable in your own skin. I want you to know that you’re not alone.
In my practice, I focus on long-term weight loss and metabolic health so you can break free from the calorie-counting, fad diet culture. Your metabolic health affects every system in your body including your weight, and we must fix it to achieve the results you dream of. No fat diet or macro counter will do that for you.
You see, I suffered the same struggles my clients face today. Twelve years ago, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) after experiencing unexplained weight gain, resistance to weight loss, and missed menstrual cycles. I was told this condition runs in the family and is something I’ll just have to live with. I was told to eat a 1500 calorie diet, exercise more, and I’ll lose weight.
This led to a vicious cycle of weight loss and weight regain over many years. Calorie counting, hours of cardio, numerous diets, and money wasted on the wrong supplements became my life. I would lose weight in the short term only to gain ALL of it back (and sometimes more). I often felt hungry and deprived. I can’t tell you how defeated, frustrated, and hopeless I felt after putting in so much effort to reap none of the reward.
The Power of Nutrition
I’m here to tell you the power of nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle is enormous. What you are going through is not your fault. And PCOS or any other metabolic condition doesn't have to control your weight or your health.
With the power of proper nutrition, you can end the binge-diet cycle, feelings of frustration, and finally take control of your body and life.
Let’s end the never-ending search for the “perfect” diet now. Together, we’ll reclaim your health so you can finally lose the weight and feel healthy, happy, and CONFIDENT.
